Meet The Team
Bianca Torres, CEO/Founder
Bianca Torres is a seasoned media strategist and the driving force behind Orchid Media. With over a decade of experience in the media industry, Bianca has established herself as a leader known for her innovative approach to shaping narratives and driving media success.
Bianca began her journey in media as a writer and editor, contributing to several outlets such as Carolina STYLE Magazine, The Examiner and Fashion Times. In 2016, Bianca took on the role as managing editor with revered hip-hop publication XXL Magazine where she played a pivotal role on the editorial team for six years. Bianca oversaw and facilitated the completion of the print publication, along with having an intricate role in the selection of the highly anticipated annual Freshman Class in addition to maintaining relationships with record labels, publicists, A&Rs and artists.
By 2022, Bianca pivoted to a career in publicity and was hired as the Chief-of-Staff at Vital Versatility where she worked side-by-side with the company’s CEO on a multitude of projects including clients such as Megan Thee Stallion, Yo Gotti, Fat Joe, Roc Nation, Lloyd Banks, Druski and Joyner Lucas among others. In 2023, Bianca launched her indie publicity/media consulting company, Orchid Media, where her first order of business was to lead publicity efforts for The Joe Budden Podcast Cohost and Real Estate Mogul, Antwan “Ish” Marby. Ish’s successful campaign led to working with legacy artists such as Consequence and Cory Gunz along with newcomers like Gucci Mane’s The New 1017’s FTO Sett, Li Rye and Mac Critter and others.
Bianca blends her editorial expertise with strategic media outreach experience, resulting in successful campaign coverage within the entertainment industry. With a career rooted in passionate storytelling and strategic media relations, Bianca is renowned for her ability to craft compelling narratives and elevate brand visibility.
Rory Murphy, EVP of Digital Marketing
Rory Murphy is a seasoned adtech and data analytics expert with a deep track record of helping brands harness the power of data to drive measurable marketing outcomes. Over the course of his career, Rory has led complex data and technology initiatives at top-tier organizations including Epsilon, Edelman, Kinesso, and Townsquare Media. His expertise spans customer data platforms (CDPs), audience segmentation, identity resolution, and advanced media measurement, enabling organizations to unlock the full potential of their first-party data.
Rory has successfully deployed enterprise platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform, LiveRamp, and Google Marketing Platform to support personalized marketing, real-time customer engagement, and holistic performance attribution. With a unique blend of technical fluency and strategic vision, he bridges the gap between data science and marketing execution—empowering brands to activate insights across channels and optimize the customer journey at scale.
In 2025, Rory joined Orchid Media as the COO and EVP of Digital Marketing. Whether driving innovation in martech architecture or leading data-driven transformation initiatives, Rory is passionate about helping organizations evolve with precision, accountability, and a clear path to ROI.
